Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in San Jose, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and accurate financial transactions. This position requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving payment issues.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments and accurately apply them to customer accounts.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely collections.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.

• Prepare and maintain detailed records of transactions and collections activities.

• Review and verify billing documents for accuracy before sending them to customers.

• Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy.

• Generate reports on accounts receivable status and provide insights for management.

• Assist in streamlining accounts receivable procedures to improve efficiency.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.

• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, including collections and cash applications.

• Strong knowledge of commercial collections practices and billing functions.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools used for accounts receivable processing.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and resolving payment issues.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Familiarity with reconciliation processes and general ledger systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
