Description We are looking for an experienced Functional Data Domain Lead – Finance & Accounting to oversee and enhance the management of financial data within our organization. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial and operational data is accurate, consistent, and accessible for reporting and decision-making purposes. This position offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the Finance and Accounting data domain. This is a long-term contract position based in New York, New York.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and governance of the Finance and Accounting data domain to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Actuarial teams to identify data requirements and align solutions with strategic objectives.

• Work closely with IT, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable, automated data solutions that meet business needs.

• Oversee the integration and management of data flows between financial systems, including general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and consolidation platforms.

• Develop and execute a Finance data roadmap to improve analytics capabilities, automation, and integration with enterprise performance management tools.

• Partner with FP& A and Accounting teams to ensure alignment in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in financial data management, analytics, and reporting technologies.

• Communicate project updates, risks, and key milestones clearly to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

• Apply analytical skills to identify and resolve anomalies in complex financial datasets, fostering data-driven decision-making.

• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or data-related roles within the financial services or insurance industries.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and STAT, and their application in financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL processes to support data management and transformation.

• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.

• Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.

• Familiarity with business intelligence and data warehousing tools and practices to support decision-making.

• Demonstrated ability to manage financial data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and work with complex datasets. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
