    Description

    The IT Trainer is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of technology training programs. This role equips staff with the knowledge to use technology effectively for daily productivity and strategic initiatives. Working across departments, the IT Trainer identifies learning needs, develops instructional content, and delivers training sessions that support technology adoption and operational goals. Collaboration with application managers, service desk teams, and business stakeholders is essential for supporting new system rollouts, platform updates, and user enablement. Responsibilities include creating customized learning materials, managing training schedules, and evaluating program impact through feedback and performance metrics. The role requires strong instructional design skills, excellent communication, and an understanding of enterprise technology in legal or professional services environments.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Training Development and Delivery

     

    + Design and deliver training for staff on core technology platforms, including productivity and collaboration tools.

    + Create instructional materials and e-learning modules for different roles and skill levels.

    + Assess training gaps and prioritize initiatives.

    + Conduct onboarding for new hires, introducing technology resources.

    + Track participation and feedback to refine programs.

     

    Collaboration and Support

     

    + Work with application managers, service desk teams, and business stakeholders to align training with updates and priorities.

    + Coordinate training schedules and address specific team needs.

    + Provide coaching and support to users needing extra help.

    + Support change management efforts.

     

    Operational Oversight

     

    + Maintain a centralized library of training materials.

    + Monitor usage trends and support requests to address recurring issues via training.

    + Collaborate on rollouts of new tools and features to ensure user readiness.

    + Evaluate training effectiveness using surveys and performance data.

     

    Continuous Improvement

     

    + Gather and apply feedback to improve training relevance and methods.

    + Stay current with technology trends and learning methodologies to enhance programs.

    + Recommend updates based on system changes and user needs.

    + Promote technology literacy and confidence across the organization.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    Education & Credentials

     

    + College degree or relevant technology training preferred.

     

    Knowledge & Experience

     

    + Experience designing and delivering technology training in an enterprise or professional services environment.

    + Solid knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and evaluation.

    + Familiarity with legal technology platforms, productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365), and collaboration tools.

    + Skill in creating training materials and supporting change management.

    + Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.

    + Strong organizational and project management skills.

    + Collaborative approach to working across teams.

    + Experience managing multiple training programs in a dynamic environment.
