Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid foundation in tax preparation who are ready to handle more complex returns, assist clients with tax planning strategies, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

The Intermediate Tax Preparer will work closely with senior staff and clients, providing accurate, timely, and professional tax services while continuing to grow their expertise.

Requirements

Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, etc.)

Conduct client interviews to gather financial information and documentation

Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities

Assist clients in understanding tax liabilities and planning strategies

Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state/local tax laws

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax filings

Support senior tax professionals with complex cases and audits

Stay updated on changes in tax codes, laws, and regulations

Provide excellent customer service and build long-term client relationships
