Hiring Range: $29.89- $39.99
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and track patient enrollment in the Enhanced Pharmacy Services program.
+ Perform monthly patient adherence check-ins via phone, virtual platform, or other communication methods.
+ Schedule and coordinate medication deliveries and confirm receipt of medications with patients.
+ Assist patients in identifying and applying for relevant financial assistance programs (e.g., manufacturer copay cards, foundation grants, patient assistance programs).
+ Perform medication prior authorization support activities and communicate with providers and insurance companies as needed.
+ Maintain accurate patient documentation within pharmacy systems and patient tracking software.
+ Monitor and manage the logistics of shipping materials, packaging supplies, and delivery schedules.
+ Serve as the first point of contact for patients regarding their medications, deliveries, financial resources, or Enhanced Pharmacy Services participation.
+ Identify and escalate patient barriers to adherence, access, or affordability to the Manager of Enhanced Pharmacy Services.
+ Assist with reporting and tracking key performance metrics such as delivery rates, adherence rates, financial assistance utilization, and patient satisfaction.
+ Support the Manager and team with continuous improvement initiatives and program expansion activities.
Education, Training & Experience:
+ High school diploma/GED required.
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA required within six (6) months of hire or a registered pharmacist
+ Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a retail, outpatient, or specialty pharmacy setting preferred.
+ Familiarity with patient assistance programs and medication affordability resources preferred.
+ Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and adapt to evolving program needs.
+ Comfortable with technology, including pharmacy software systems, patient communication platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
+ Based primarily at St. Mary’s Hospital or affiliated outpatient sites. Monday through Friday schedule; occasional evenings based on patient or delivery needs. Majority of duties performed in an office or outpatient pharmacy environment; occasional lifting of delivery packages required.
