    The Neighborhood Department is actively seeking one (1) Code Compliance Administration Manager.

    This position reports to the Chief of Municipal Code Compliance and involves administrative work at the managerial level in directing logistic and administrative activities for the Municipal Code Compliance Division. Responsibilities include personnel management, procurement, distribution and maintenance of supplies and equipment, extensive problem resolution, and other related matters.

     

    Examples of Work

     

    + Directs logistic and administrative activities for the Municipal Code Compliance Division, including personnel management, procurement, distribution and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and related matters.

    + Provides management oversight to the Municipal Code Compliance clerical staff through a subordinate supervisor.

    + Manages Divisional equipment and asset inventories.

    + Oversees the processing of requests for Settlement of Administrative Fines and the collection and processing of payments.

    + Manages the development and improvement of Divisional practices, policies and procedures for clerical and Special Magistrate activities.

    + Extensive contact with internal and external customers, related to research/review of, and assistance with, municipal code compliance matters, including collaboration with the Office of General Counsel and other city departments and/or divisions.

    + Represents the Division at various meetings regarding operational and administrative matters.

    + Develops, implements, and directs Divisional safety, promotional, and other special programs; performs other special assignments, as directed.

    + Directs and coordinates personnel functions, including preparation and maintenance of personnel records, files, and documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

    + Prepares correspondence, reports, and analyses related to assigned activities.

    + Oversight of administrative matters for Special Magistrate and Building Codes Adjustment Board hearings.

    + Communicates clear direction, manages for results and leads organizational change.

    + Assigns responsibility, takes corrective action, demonstrates leadership and evaluates, develops and motivates employees.

    + Four years education and/or experience of which at least two years of experience are at the professional level in regulatory compliance matters that concern municipalities or closely related field.
