    ### Job Duties

    Position: Annual Fund Manager

     

    Salary: $ $49,000-$59,000 commensurate with experience

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday

    For more than 125 years, Neighborhood House has partnered with families in St. Paul to ensure access to essential services, including food, housing, education, and opportunities. Today, we serve more than 30,000 individuals annually across six neighborhoods, striving for a community where everyone can thrive.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Annual Fund Manager leads the execution of Neighborhood House’s annual giving program, driving broad-based philanthropic support from individuals, corporate partners, and community members. This position oversees all aspects of annual fundraising, from donor acquisition and retention to stewardship and campaign communications, with the goal of building a sustainable, diverse donor base.

     

    The manager will collaborate closely with development, communications, and program teams to align messaging, strengthen donor engagement, and increase participation across all giving levels.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Management

     

    Manage an annual giving plan that meets established targets for donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

     

    Manage multi-channel fundraising initiatives, including direct mail, email, social media, peer-to-peer, and recurring giving campaigns.

     

    Manage the monthly giving program to meet established goals for growth and retention.

     

    Track performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

     

    Collaborate with Communications to ensure consistent, donor-centered messaging across all campaigns.

     

    Donor Cultivation and Stewardship

     

    Manage a personal portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

     

    Partner with the Major Gift Officers to create clear pathways for annual donors to increase engagement and giving over time.

     

    Coordinate stewardship touchpoints such as thank-you letters, impact reports, and donor appreciation events.

     

    Collaboration and Leadership

     

    Partner with Database and Advancement Operations staff to maintain accurate donor records and support segmentation, reporting, and analysis.

     

    Supervise and mentor staff or volunteers supporting annual giving campaigns and special projects.

     

    Work collaboratively across teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and community impact stories.

     

    Support board and leadership engagement in annual giving, providing tools and talking points for peer outreach.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Actively support and champion the mission and programs of Neighborhood House.

     

    Actively support Neighborhood House’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and radical hospitality. Conduct all activities with a high degree of cultural competency.

     

    Maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues, participants, donors, board members, volunteers, and community partners.

     

    Consistently uphold Neighborhood House policies, procedures, and confidentiality protocols.

     

    When representing Neighborhood House to internal and external audiences, articulate the organization’s desired image and position.

     

    Contribute to building a cohesive, respectful, responsive, and productive staff environment that demonstrates our values and mission.

     

    Actively participate in required meetings, trainings, and other events as requested.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Required Qualifications

    Minimum 3 years of fundraising experience with demonstrated success in annual or individual giving programs.

     

    Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

     

    Proven ability to analyze data, track campaign performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a donor-centered mindset.

     

    Familiarity with CRM and fundraising software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Keela, or similar).

     

    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

     

    A collaborative, inclusive approach that values teamwork, equity, and community voice.

    Desired Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree, or Certificate in Fundraising Management.

     

    Ability to speak one or more languages spoken by our participant families, especially Spanish, Karen, Hmong, and Somali.

    WORK LOCATION

    This in-person role is based in St. Paul, MN.
