Summary You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPS) in the LHD Class Team, LHD/CVN Division, Waterfront Operations Department, Office of the Executive Director, Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will serve as the Project Manager and act as the business agent for the Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA). You will maintain liaison with customers/ ship's forces, NSSA function departments and contractors. You will act a funds administrator for the assigned availability and contracts. You will coordinate planning and estimating, design specification preparation and scheduling. You will lead conferences and represent NSSA at all conferences pertaining to the assigned availability and contracts. You will manage ship repair job orders and contracts, resolve problems and recommend corrective actions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with ship repair and shipbuilding procedures of overhaul and production methods/processes and of quality control/assurance requirements. Experience planning, estimating, scheduling and expediting labor, machines and materials in an industrial environment. Experience with accounting procedures, funds management, methods and practices promulgated by Navy Comptroller manuals sufficient to comply with regulations/law regarding receipt, maintenance and transfer of funds. Experience demonstrating knowledge of contract administration and procurement regulations. Experience writing technical reports and briefs and conducting meetings and conference for/with diverse groups representing public/private. military/civilian and managerial/worker interests.
