• Oval Skate Guard

    ASM Global (Worcester, MA)


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Conducts routine property walks

    + Interact with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees

    + Lay out the rubber matting and benches to prepare the rink area for the public

    + Clear ice rink of snow/sleet as well as surrounding walkways and bench areas

    + Skate Guards will be responsible for the safety of the skaters while on the Oval

    + Skate Guards will be responsible for checking tickets at the gate and reminding patrons to return rented skates

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities

    QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

    This position will require a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping and possible heavy lifting. This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, as well as work in both indoor and outdoor settings.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    + High School Degree and/or GED

    + One year of customer service experience desired

    + First Aid response training and/or experience desired

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + Ability to ice skate

    + Ability to work flexible hours on weekdays, weekends, school vacations and holidays

    + Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic

    + Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

    + Must be at least 18 years old

     

    HOURLY RATE: $16.80 - $17.85
