The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of gastrointestinal and general surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.
Teaching responsibilities may include education of medical students, residents and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient, outpatient and operative care of gastrointestinal and general surgery patients.
The clinical practice associated with this position will be located at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Candidates with training and/or experience in minimally invasive surgery will be preferred. * We welcome prospective candidates to learn more about the different Faculty Tracks in the Perelman School of Medicine.
