Summary
As a Lead Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader within NVR's System Engineering team, responsible for the research, planning, architecture, and configuration of Microsoft 365 platform solutions for use across the enterprise. You'll work cross-functionally with NVR’s technology leaders and business stakeholders to improve collaboration, security, and productivity across NVR's M365 environment—including Teams, Copilot, SharePoint, and related services. In this role, you will focus on evaluating new M365 platform capabilities, collaborating with other technical leaders to design effective, secure, and scalable solutions, and working with IT operations teams on solution implementations and ongoing support. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Microsoft 365 architecture, strong analytical and communication skills, and a strategic mindset focused on deliberate, well-planned technology adoption.
Key Job Responsibilities
+ Research and evaluate Microsoft 365 capabilities and emerging technologies to identify opportunities that align with business needs
+ Design enterprise-scale architecture and deployment strategies for M365 services, ensuring security, scalability, and operational sustainability
+ Lead technical planning and governance efforts for Copilot and other Generative AI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem
+ Provide technical guidance and governance for users creating SharePoint sites, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps—establishing standards and best practices rather than building solutions directly
+ Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including architecture designs, deployment plans, and operational handoff materials for implementation teams
+ Collaborate with operations teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful deployment and knowledge transfer
+ Monitor Microsoft roadmaps, Message Center, Service Health, and industry trends to proactively identify impacts and opportunities for NVR's M365 environment
+ Investigate complex technical challenges escalated from operations teams, providing research-backed recommendations and design solutions
+ Present technical proposals to NVR’s architecture technical review boards, translating technical decisions into business impact
+ Mentor System Engineering team members on research methods, documentation standards, and architectural thinking
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
+ 4+ years of experience in enterprise Microsoft 365 architecture, planning, or systems engineering roles
+ Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, capabilities, and administrative frameworks—not as a developer but as a system architect and strategist
+ Experience designing and planning deployments of security and compliance tools such as Defender, Purview, or similar M365 services
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex enterprise challenges
+ Understanding of IT operations, change management processes, and operational handoff best practices
Preferred Qualifications
+ Relevant Microsoft certification (Associate level Microsoft 365 certification or higher)
+ Proven ability to research technical solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and document architectural decisions for diverse audiences
+ Experience with Azure administration, Intune/UEM, identity and access management (IAM), and project tracking tools (Jira/Atlassian) is highly preferred
If you are passionate about Microsoft 365 technologies and want to be part of a dynamic team driving innovation, we would love to hear from you. Apply now to join us on our journey to innovation.
