*The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital.* The*Admissions Coordinator*coordinates care between Forensic Mental Health Facility (FMHF) and community ensuring hospital staff is provided with accurate, timely information about patients admitted for services. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. *Required for first day of work* * Extensive knowledge and skills in the application of social work techniques and principles in a forensic psychiatric setting. * Strong knowledge of court processes as they relate to forensic mental health population * Strong knowledge of working with forensic populations with a serious mental illness, as well as chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, personality disorders, etc. * Ability to review and apply statutes, administrative rules, and hospital policies in actual situations. * Ability to maintain a good working relationship with staff, administration, patients, family, and other mental health providers. * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing. * Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information. * Understanding of individual and team approaches of treatment and therapy for mental health disorders. * Effective interviewing and information gathering techniques. * Excellent time management skill and ability to prioritize work. *Minimum Qualifications:* * **Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work, or directly related healthcare field required. o Relevant and recent (within 5 years) experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis. * 2 years experience working in a mental health psychiatric or social service support setting required. * 1 year working in a Forensic Mental Health setting preferred *How to Apply*** To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
