Field Service Technician

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
+ Coordinate the tools, materials, and equipment for each project.
+ Inspect, install, and repair electrical systems at power plants.
+ Work closely with customers and subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency in every task.
+ Ensure safety standards are adhered to, including completing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting any work.
+ Conduct electrical tests and troubleshooting in accordance with company procedures.
+ Keep the project manager informed with detailed daily reports on project status, challenges, and potential changes in scope.
+ Ensure that project expenses are kept within budget and submit all necessary paperwork on time.
YOU HAVE:
+ Prior supervisory experience
+ Coordinating construction jobs is preferred.
+ Ability to attain an ASTM and ANSI/AWS 6-G MIG aluminum welding certification, U.S. passport, and forklift/man lift operator training certification.
+ Valid driver's license with a good driving record is mandatory.
+ 75% travel is required. Experience with extensive travel is highly preferred.
+ You'll spend most of your time at remote power plants, often outdoors and working in various weather conditions.
+ This is a physically active role, requiring you to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. You'll also need to be comfortable working at heights and using hand tools.
+ Good vision is required for reading blueprints, inspecting work, and operating machinery.
+ Ability to read tape measurements, blueprints, and electrical schematics. Hands-on skills, such as MIG welding or equipment operation, are a plus but not required.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers,
+ subcontractors, and internal teams.
