About this Job
This is an unclassified position in the Bursar Operations division of LSU Office Accounting Services. This position participates in the registration activities performed year-round by Bursar Operations for a student and faculty/staff population of 35,000+ customers. This position will enhance in-house collection efforts on student accounts prior to being sent to a 3rd party collection agency. This position will engage in campus engagement and work with various departments to better position student success. This position will assist the Manager with website updates and maintenance, social media posts, email communication, and chatbot updates and maintenance.

Job Duties and Other Information
30% Provides assistance to students, parents, and departments regarding the registration process and general account inquiries. Assistance is provided daily by phone, email, virtually, and in-person. Must be able to interpret a customer's record, give a complete and accurate explanation of the account, and, if needed, refer the customer to the appropriate department for further explanation, information, and resolution. Assist Manager with daily monitoring and response [email protected].
30% Serve as Bursar contact for Navigate appointments with students and parents. Provide guidance on account balances and available options for current and prior semester balances. Engage in collections campaigns (calls, emails, and follow-ups) and handle incoming collection calls for students with outstanding prior balances and provide options to clear balances to prevent submission of account to collections. Attend training sessions on better collection practices and communication strategies.
30% Participate in orientation activities and outreach campaigns to provide information for students and parents. Assist Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Admissions, and other departments on enhancing student success. Assist with developing informational items for students and staff to utilize. Assist manager with website updates, social media posts, Parent & Family newsletter, and other various informational media.
10% Other duties assigned by management.
