Step into a key financial leadership role as an Accountant Manager 1, overseeing revenue collections, cash management, and reconciliation activities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate posting and verification of deposits, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strict adherence to internal control standards such as GAAP, GASB, Uniform Guidance, CMIA, and sensitive financial controls. You will also have the opportunity to supervise, train, and mentor staff responsible for collections, cash management, and revenue processing, while coordinating multiple revenue streams and agency-level cash intake points. Minimum Qualifications
Seven years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus four years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Oversees daily FRU operations including monitoring Chase Bank deposits, processing CCPU report batches, and verifying deposit classifications and coding of SNAP and DDS recovery funds. Reviews System ware reports and ensures proper documentation is submitted to accounting techs for classification.
+ Manages and reviews participation in the Treasury Offset Program (TOP): Ensures proper flagging and submission of debtor records, reconciles TOP reports, handles adjustments, disputes, and monitors suspension lists in coordination with federal partners.
+ Oversees accurate classification on of fraud vs. non fraud collections using mandated formulas for fund breakdown across regions. Reviews monthly analysis templates (RAM390R1) and LaGov reports for reconciliation. Coordinates classification of refunds and erroneous payments.
+ Ensures timely processing of client refunds, including FV60 entries, backup documentation, and check request tracking. Reviews entries and verifies compliance with refund policies
+ Provides guidance to subordinate accountants in entering manual client payments, processing rejects, and verifying regional allocations. Supervises error correction, policy compliance, and procedural adherence.
