Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered under this job, but may not be required.
The employer may require workers to work 48 hours per week but if they request workers to work additional hours, the worker has the right to work only the 48 hours per week and not the additional hours offered by the employer.

Seasonal on farm work involving weaning of calves, including acclimatization to new environments, and assisting with socialization of calves. Workers will be responsible for gradually reducing calves’ dependency on their mother’s milk and will help the calves transition to a solid food diet. Introduce alternative sources of nutrition. Introduce pellets, hay, and corn to the diet when calves are ready.
Drug Free Workplace.
Post-employment drug tests are paid for by the employer when applicable.
### Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
### Minimum Experience Required
Position requires three (3) months of experience in livestock. Must be able to lift 75 lbs for 75 yards.
Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

### Additional Compensation
Merit based bonuses may be given. Higher hourly rate may be given based on experience, tenure, skill, and other non-discriminatory factors.
Employer may, in its sole discretion, pay workers their normal hourly rate if the workers are required to not work due to weather conditions, material delivery delays, biosecurity protocols, or other reasons outside the worker’s control.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
