Are you an Imaging professional ready to bring your skills into the fast-paced, high-tech world of the operating room? UPMC Shadyside is hiring a motivated technologist to support daily Interventional Radiology (IR) needs in our Main OR - home to 23 state-of-the-art operating rooms where innovation and precision meet every day.
In this vital role, you'll assist with intraoperative radiology and CT scans, operate C-arms, and ensure seamless imaging support for complex surgical procedures.
Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM
Additional Coverage: Weekends and holidays as needed, off-shift call

What You'll Do:
+ Perform and support intraoperative imaging procedures using advanced radiography, CT, and C-arm technology.
+ Review patient history, assess orders, and apply protocols to ensure high-quality imaging results.
+ Accurately document patient data and maintain records within the electronic system.
+ Administer contrast per policy and ensure all exams are coded, archived, and billed correctly.
+ Provide compassionate, professional care while collaborating seamlessly with surgeons and clinical staff.
+ Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date.
+ Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified.
+ Technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025. Diagnostic Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025, will need to obtain their registry within 12 months of hire/transfer date.
+ CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
