• Staff PCB Layout Engineer

    Job Description

    Own PCB layout execution from planning stage to manufacturing.

     

    Create component symbols and footprints, place components, route high density power/digital/analog signals according to best practices using Altium Designer.

     

    Create manufacturing packages for fabrication, assembly, and polymerics including ODB++ files, Gerbers, drawings, BOMs, etc.

     

    Work directly with PCB manufacturers to define PCB design rules, stackups, and manufacturing requirements. Work through DFM issues with manufacturers.

     

    Support the EE team in PCB simulations including signal integrity and power.

     

    Participate in PCB layout reviews and support higher level PCBA design reviews.

     

    Altium component and template library management.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    10+ years of experience in complex power, digital and analog PCB layout.

     

    Expertise in high speed digital signal routing practices for optimal signal integrity, timing, and minimal crosstalk.

     

    Expertise in PCB materials and stackup creation.

     

    Expertise in PCB design rule and manufacturing best practices.

     

    Experience performing PCB library management.

     

    Proficiency with Altium Designer.

     

    Knowledge of IPC-6012 and J-STD-001.

     

    Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment.
