Job Description

Compensation:

$50/hr to $60/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

A Fortune 100 retail client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex data initiatives within our Finance Data Organization. This role bridges technical execution and business strategy, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. You will manage cross-functional teams, oversee technical deliverables, and drive innovation in financial data systems for a Fortune 100 retail enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Plan, execute, and deliver finance-related data projects across multiple business units.

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.

Technical Oversight:

Ensure technical feasibility of solutions, including data architecture, ETL processes, and integration with enterprise systems.

Collaborate with engineering teams on system design, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Stakeholder Management:

Act as liaison between finance, IT, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with financial objectives.

Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership.

Risk & Compliance:

Implement risk management strategies and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Quality Assurance:

Oversee testing and validation of data solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in technical project management within data or finance domains.

- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL tools, and SQL.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable).

- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, MS Project)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with financial systems, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

- Understanding of retail industry processes and large-scale enterprise data environments.

- Certifications: PMP, CSM, or equivalent.
