    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the TDL & Monitoring Systems Division of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA. Responsibilities You will establish work objectives and evaluate work of subordinates. You will recommend rating, awards, and promotions in accordance with Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) policies, requirements and guidelines. You will ensure safety, environmental, and security requirements for the assigned functions are met. You will be responsible for Branch strategic planning and organizational/process improvement, sponsor engagement, workforce planning, infrastructure planning, and management of the Branch's funding allocation. You will maintain system configurations, resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems and ensure the rigorous application of Cybersecurity/Information assurance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists in the planning and/or operations of sustainment functions; plans, coordinates, and monitors work assignments of others and evaluates work performance. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Knowledge and understanding of principles, systems, methods, tools and standards including planning processes. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: working with diverse teams, develop trust and relationships with customers and team members and interface professionally with cybersecurity experts. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: communicate orally and in writing to resolve conflicts among technical and support personnel. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: provide assistance in developing processes, resolves issues and minimize risks. Education Additional Information This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule for all Supervisor Positions will be NM-2/3/4/5/6. This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code SUPERVISOR, proficiency level advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
