    Purpose of Role:

    Marex is seeking a Regulatory Controller is a key member of the North American finance function. The function ensures the integrity of MCMI's entity financial information, facilitates the Group's consolidation and offers analytical support and other support to the wider Finance Team and Group. The role will play a pivotal role in improving the regulatory and reporting environment. In addition, this individual would be expected to assist across the entire Finance function.

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist CFO with financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing adequate policies and procedures.

    + Responsible for ensuring compliance with all daily, semi-monthly and monthly regulatory reporting requirements for the FCM, including the timely filing of the daily seg calcs, daily net cap comps and SIDR reports.

    + Assist with the onboarding and integration of new products or processes related to the FCM or Swap Dealer into the relevant Accounting systems

    + Implement and adhere to SOX controls and procedures relevant to oversight areas.

    + Assist the CFO with annual audits and reporting packages by helping to generate necessary reports and providing information to external auditors and the parent company.

    + Monitor bank balances, supervising the timely completion of both manual and DIM bank reconciliations.

    + Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data, keeping the CFO aware of any financial and regulatory issues.

    + Responsible for monitoring, supervising and training of support staff.

    + Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.

    + Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations.

    + Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    + Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

    + Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

    + Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

    Skills and Experience

     

    + At leaset five (5) + years' futures industry experience, preferably at a Futures Commission Merchant, other futures registrant or regulatory agency.

    + Knowledge of NFA, CFTC, Exchange, and other SRO rules and prior regulatory experience is required.

    + Self-motivated, high level of dependability, organization, attention to detail, and strong writing skills required. Candidate must be able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent computer skills with Microsoft software are required. Advanced Excel skills are a must.

    + Strong analytical skills – You demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment in a highly regulated environment.

    + Strong technical accounting skills – You demonstrate strong technical skills, pay attention to detail, take initiative to broaden your knowledge and resolve accounting issues.

    + Strong teamwork ethic – You are a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You collaborate well with others within and across teams, encourage other team members to participate and contribute and acknowledges others' contribution.

    + Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills along with superior detail oriented analytical skills.

    + Proficiency with PeopleSoft or similar Oracle accounting syste.

    + Experience in a similar or elevated role in the financial control function of an FCM.

    + Experience in preparation of audited financial statements under US GAAP.

    + A track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders

    + Bachelor's Degree is required and Master's Degree would be a desired.

    + Series 27 or 99 required

     

    Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.
