IT Product Specialist

Drives user adoption of the product by creating communications, training, documentation, and launch plans to empower business partners across multiple products, multiple workflows, and often multiple platforms, but largely focused within a single business unit with common priorities and needs. The IT Product Specialist serves as a bridge between the technical aspects of a product and the needs of the users, ensuring that both are aligned for optimal performance and satisfaction.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, IT Product Specialist, are to:

+ **Leads change management** efforts to deliver customer centric solutions, by collaborating with development teams and leverage deep subject matter expertise. Using audio/video tools to present to audiences of users and business stakeholders and answer questions about the digital product platforms;

+ Acts as **subject expert for user questions about the digital product features and capabilities in production** . Works with engineering teams to identify the appropriate actions based on user questions or issues.;

+ **Coordinates with global users** and business stakeholders for end user testing scenarios based on defined acceptance criteria. Partners with users around the globe as the subject matter expert to provide testing scenarios that help validate quality and alignment for continuous, iterative releases;

+ **Creates and analyzes metrics that measure the user experience** of the digital products including satisfaction, adoption, engagement, and task success;

+ **Monitors trends** in order to influence future development of the digital product and increase value;

+ **Uses business intelligence tool to develop cutting edge performance insights** and methodologies to understand emerging channels, trends, and market dynamics – Conducts customer research to identify market demands and recommends business opportunities and developments.

+ Tangoe Rivermine Billing for all US Telecommunication invoices – Wired lines and wireless lines plus internet services. This includes discrepancies in billing on monthly invoices from the vendors – and also payments for the invoices that are sent into Bayer Us SAP 69 from an overnight feed sent from Tangoe Rivermine. Request new vendor setup internally at Bayer, when a new service provider is added for a site. Tangoe Reporting for invoices and service carriers.

+ Invoice processing issue due to unforeseen changes on the backend of SAP P69, or vendor changes in remittance address that mismatch to the Vendor number is SAP P69

+ Outages at sites that are not utilizing Verizon VoIP - contact the carrier and request repair services for outages.

+ Bayer Mobility – assist daily with the Tangoe Mobility Team for issues that may arise due to carrier portal issues, porting of mobile numbers from one carrier to a different carrier. Any related equipment issues – connectivity, broken / lost devices to assist with replacement devices whether it be a new device is eligible or a stock used device. Attend meetings with Wireless carriers to keep the Mobility Team updated on any changes in services or issues. Assist with request ports of mobile numbers to different carriers. Daily issues that may arise with outages or coverage issues. Posting of wireless numbers to different carriers. Transfers from Business to personal and personal to Business.

+ Assist the users with setup of new or replacement devices when required. Weekly meetings with the Tangoe Mobility Team to review and issues that may arise. Vendor Reporting for Seasonal devices to provide cost savings due to zero usage.

+ Track saving and avoidance to report to management for awareness.

+ Credit Checks from Telecom vendors – coding for refund checks – working with Althea Richardson. Credits are issued when a site changes service providers or sites are moved to vendor no longer has services at the sites.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

+ University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

+ Experience as a product specialist or equivalent

+ Understanding of IT concepts, software development, and product lifecycle management.

+ Examples of relevant tools & practices: ADO, GitHub, Testing Tools, Cloud Services, Documentation Tools, DevOps Tools

+ Product & User Centric Thinking

+ Knowledge of the concepts, practices, and instruments of product innovation

+ Experienced in the implementation of IT products (ideally digital products)

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with product lifecycle management and product roadmap development.

+ 3-5 years of experience as a product specialist or equivalent

+ Ability to prioritize features and manage product backlogs.

+ Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.

+ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, marketing, and sales.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $93,662.40 – $130,493. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
