Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team in Lexington, United States. As a PT Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
+ Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care and treatment plans
+ Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions
+ Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the guidance of physical therapists
+ Administer hot and cold packs, and other modalities as directed
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
+ Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records
+ Transport patients to and from therapy sessions when necessary
+ Educate patients on proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs
+ Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure smooth clinic operations
+ Maintain therapy equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Excellent customer service orientation
+ Caring and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in helping people
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
+ Team player attitude and ability to work collaboratively
+ Energetic and enthusiastic personality
+ Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely
+ CPR certification
+ Proficiency in basic computer skills and medical software packages
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 1+ years of experience in a medical environment, ideally in a physical therapy setting
+ Current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program
+ Experience with electronic health record systems
