Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. Telework can be outside of the state of Minnesota if the candidate lives in a state bordering Minnesota and lives 50 miles or less from the primary work location. The responsibilities of this position are to provide technical assistance in the examination of non-depository financial institutions, with a primary focus on consumer credit lenders, student loan servicers, debt management, and debt settlement providers to determine if the institution is operating according to accepted industry practices; is in compliance with applicable Minnesota Statutes and Federal Regulations; and acting properly in their roles as consumer credit lenders, student loan servicers, debt management and debt settlement providers.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in audit, risk, or compliance within the financial services industry.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
An Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.
Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:
+ Must live within the Twin Cities Metro Area.
+ Class D Driver's License (single unit vehicle unit with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous work experience with consumer credit companies, student loan servicers, or debt management/settlement service providers or non-depository financial institutions.
+ Knowledge of practices and internal controls of consumer credit companies, student loan servicing, debt management/settlement service providers or other non-depository financial institutions.
+ Knowledge of State and Federal statutes and rules applicable to consumer credit companies, student loan servicing, or debt management/settlement service providers or other non-depository financial institutions.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
