+ Well established Hospitalist program since 2006, currently includes 18 physician & 2 ARNP team

+ Care team support that includes 5 dedicated hospitalist RNs for care coordination and rounding efficiency + 1 CDE nurse

+ Excellent multi-specialty support

+ Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

+ Full-time position

+ Hospitalist APP schedule is Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM and some weekend hours with work from home option 7AM-10AM rounding with the Certified Diabetes Educator nurse

Responsibilities

+ Position will have a main focus on diabetes and glycemic management

+ Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

+ Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

+ Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

+ + Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

+ Board Certified

+ Must be experienced with Diabetes management

+ Inpatient experience as a nurse practitioner or registered nurse

+ Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred

+ Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa

+ Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice

+ Eligible to work in the United States
