Senior Trauma Resource Nurse
+ 3x12 hour shifts
+ Day and night shifts available
+ Seeking prehospital, ICU and/or ER experience (level 1 or 2 trauma center)
+ Looking for airway management support, IV/IO access & fluid/blood administration
+ Hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, wound/bleeding control, equipment proficiency, trauma imaging prep
+ BLS, ACLS needed
+ Additional licensures to be obtained within one year PALS, TNCC, ATCN, FCCS, CEN, TCRN, CCRN or CBRN

Seeking an experienced trauma nurse to join our dynamic, high-acuity trauma team as a Senior Trauma Resource RN. Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Provides and coordinates patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Serves as a resource and liaison between the physician and hospital while supporting the clinical operations with the delivery of safe patient care and building an effective work unit.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluates changes in patient's condition, informs and collaborates with family and/or caregivers, and communicates with interprofessional team as changes occur in plan of care, updates plan of care in EMR. Evaluates current nursing care to ensure evidence-based practice and quality patient outcomes.
+ Serves as a clinical preceptor/mentor for orienteer and existing staff being introduced to the specialty area, providing them with clinical experience that promotes growth and competency. Presents training sessions on new equipment and instrumentation for nursing and technical staff members when the need arises. Provides feedback to the management regarding staff evaluations.
+ Develops, coordinates, and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
+ Supports the clinical manager in the delivery of safe patient care and building an effective work unit. Demonstrates expertise in clinical knowledge base for the population served and demonstrates the ability to serve as a resource to others.
