JOB DESCRIPTION
The Climate & Emissions Data Vice President is part of Citi’s Sustainability & ESG team, which is responsible for the development and execution of Citi’s Sustainable Progress Strategy ( https://www.citigroup.com/citi/sustainability/ ), net zero commitment and related key initiatives. The Sustainability & ESG team manages environmental, climate change, human rights and other stakeholder and business issues in partnership with Citi's businesses, risk functions and operational teams. The VP reports to the SVP, Sustainability & ESG, who reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer.
The VP will support managing Citi’s climate and emissions data processes, and associated metrics and targets, and reporting. This position is responsible for managing internal engagement and contributing to related disclosures including the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), voluntary climate reporting and other regulatory and ESG reporting frameworks. The VP will support engagement efforts with external stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations, investors, policy makers and regulators.
Job Responsibilities:
Climate-related metrics:
+ Workwithinternalbusinesses,riskand quantitative analysis functionstomanagea robust data collection, analysisand managementprocessforfinanced emissionsand climate-relatedmetricsalignedwith leading portfolio measurement frameworksand regulatory requirements
+ Lead internal engagement and managequeries related to dataand calculationmethodologies for climate metrics
+ Develop and manage project plans, timelines, tracking deliverables and coordinating with cross-functionalstakeholders across multiple projects
+ Identifyand trouble-shoot issues with data or results, including validating data and models
+ Implement solutions without constant supervision, managing time and resources efficiently
+ Manageprogram documentation, including policies and procedures,with a strong focus on compliance and controls
+ Manage external assurance processes for disclosed climate-related metrics
+ Support in engagements with key financed emissions reporting and target setting framework developers to understand methodologies and stay current on emerging trends as well as expectations for transparency and reporting
+ Support internal transition planning, model development, and disclosure,contributingsector specific decarbonizationand GHG accountingsubject matterexpertise
+ Monitor and support regional regulatory developments on climate-related metric development to ensure alignment with global approach
General:
+ Contribute to the Sustainability & ESG team’s work on strategy, research,analysisand data collection projects as needed
+ Represent Citi’s sustainability and climate change performance in internal and external meetings and presentations
+ Undertake research projects and benchmarking analysis as needed on sustainability and ESG-related topics and themes, including facilitating outreach to Citi teams
+ Provide summaries, evaluations and analysis on relevant policy or market-related sustainability developments
+ Support efforts to drive forward Citi’s sustainability and climate change strategy, including through quantitative analysis
Requirements:
+ Master’s degree preferred in finance, economics,climate change,environmentalscienceorrelated fields
+ 5+years of relevant professional experiencein finance,sustainability/climate change, ESG,economicsor markets-related role
+ Experience working onsustainabilityand climate changeissues as theyimpactbusiness,and 2+ years focus on climate data andrisk analyticsordemonstratedknowledge ofdecarbonization trajectories forfinance
+ Basic knowledge of banking and finance products and terminology, including basics of financial accounting
+ Knowledge of relevant third-party ESG and climate datasets and tools and portfolio alignment methodsand frameworks (PCAF)
+ Awareness of climate policy and regulatory space andvoluntary frameworks and initiatives,particularly related to financial institutions
+ Excellent analytical skills: proficient in Excel modelling and comfortable analyzinglarge datasetsandportraying andexplaining complex data trends to others
+ Ability to convey information clearly,accuratelyand succinctly (both written and verbally) and to craft succinct, high-impact presentationswith strong attention to details
+ Highly-developedemotional intelligence and ability to influence others, including comfort in engaging senior business leaders
+ Collaborative mindset, and ability to work with a wide range of internal partners from across the bank
+ Exceptional work ethic,with theability tomulti-task andworkin a high-performance professional environmentundertightdeadlines and shifting priorities
+ Flexible, a good sense of humor, and a team player

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
