Job Description
What We Want
The candidate will have a master’s degree or higher with two or more years of editing experience in an academic environment. They will possess knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs as well as strong grammar, spelling, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will have the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others, as well as knowledge of university systems including Compass, ARCS, Thesis Review System, and Vireo.

Please Note: This Job is a temporary position for the Spring 2026 semester.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Format Editing - Conducts timely and efficient format reviews of electronic theses, dissertations, and records of study to ensure adherence to Texas A&M formatting and accessibility standards
Customer Service and Outreach - Guides and assists students, faculty, and staff regarding the preparation, submission, review, and publication of the thesis/dissertation/record of study
Document Processing - Processes approval forms and new submissions for review. Conducts graduation clearance procedure
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ No experience required
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree or higher
+ Two or more years of editing experience in an academic environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
+ Strong grammar, spelling, communication, and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Machines or equipment used in the performance of essential duties
