    RiseBoro Homecare Inc. (Brooklyn, NY)


    Pay: $19.00 per hour

     

    Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am-3pm

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Assist in food preparation

    + Maintain condiments and other supplies filled and readily available to use by cooking team.

    + Package and serve meals as needed, within guidelines; assist in the meal expediting process

    + Assist with cooking or dining room service as needed

    + Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service

    + Clean, sanitize, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, surfaces and dining areas

    + Perform other related duties as assigned

    COMPETENCIES

    + Able to lift up to 30 lbs., reasonable accommodations may be made

    + Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    + Ability to work effectively as a team

    + Ability to work independently

    + Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    + Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances

    + Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures

    + Commitment to organization’s mission, vision and values

    + Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities

    + Have a commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)

    EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

    + Some High School coursework; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

    + Food handler’s license or prior completion of food safety coursework preferred
