EVS Technician II - Linen Services

SUMMARY
Perform linen distribution procedures to ensure hospital linen needs are met.
Cleans and sanitizes according to EVS procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Optimize the satisfaction and comfort of our patients by providing a sufficient supply of clean, quality linen while working to find better practices, decrease waste and cost
• Ensure timely transport of ALL linen to departments.
• Inventory and record linen that is delivered/returned from the stations in hand-held devices.
• Rebuild carts utilizing returns from distribution sites and stage for next day distribution.
• Receive clean linen and stage for next day distribution.
•Operate and fill scrubEx equipment competently. Operate hand-held devices competently
•Gather soiled linen from chute rooms and stage for pick-up. Collect damaged linen weekly for return to laundry.
• Ability to work without constant supervision
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred; however, requisite experience in similar role will be considered in lieu of educational requirement when necessary and appropriate. Ability to follow written and oral instructions necessary. Must be able to communicate effectively with all patients, visitors and staff to represent EVS with excellent customer service.

+ Able to lift, bend, pull & stoop.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Good physical health.
+ Walking & standing 8 hours per day.
+ Must be able to read & write.
+ No previous experience required.
