About the Role:
As the Head of Property Management Accounting (“PMA”) at CBRE, you will be responsible for driving the America PMA strategy with overarching ambition to elevate CBRE’s property accounting capability. Focus is on driving satisfaction, retention and value for CBRE’s existing client base and accounting employees. This position will be responsible for overall PMA budget of $50M USD, improving inter-team connectivity, and maturing the relationship with the CBRE shared service center team responsible for operational delivery.
This leader will be a member of the Property Management executive team and focus heavily on broadening and deepening relationships with the Property Management leadership team across the US markets.
Additionally, this leader will be a member of the PMA Global Leadership Team, which is responsible for the connectivity of PMA professionals and platforms globally.
What You’ll Do:
+ Sheppard and enhance relationship with the CBRE Business Services Organization (BSO) which is CBRE’s internal shared services group. This is a critical partnership for PMA delivery.
+ Serve as the partner to the BSO leadership team, focused on further advancing the relationship model, including finance, governance and metrics.
+ Continue to drive alignment to strategy with PMA executive team comprised of PMA Client Account leader, BSO operations leader and BSO transformation leader.
+ Build and improve relationships with Property Management market leadership team
+ Implement structured governance program at Executive and Market Level
+ Elevate the profile of PMA activities and partner PM leadership on improvement opportunities for PM team
+ Support sales & growth of PM business
+ Elevate sales approach to ensure clients recognize value-add accounting activities to drive revenue and margins.
+ Ensure consistent pricing and service scoping methodology used to improve margin performance of the business
+ Ensure delivery teams are prepared for growth and onboarding of new business through implementation of forecasting and pipeline management tools.
+ Ensure sales materials current and compelling for clients.
+ Management of US PMA team
+ Talent management including goal-setting, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
+ Work with BSO team to ensure proper recruit, develop, retain strategies in place with client facing professionals.
+ Partner with PMA global team to develop PMA focused training program.
+ Collaboration - Ensure strong collaboration and cooperation with US leadership team from other accounting business leaders including shared service center (BSO) and fund accounting (IA&R). Partner closely with functional partners including People (HR), technology, and finance.
+ P&L accountability for PMA cost center, with a budget of $50M annually; as well as PMA Accounting Only business, a revenue generating profit center.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 15+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ CPA desired.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
+ Proven ability to shape the opinions of, and negotiate with, other senior leaders and parties; establish collaborative relationships across the business and with external organizations of divergent interests.
+ Demonstrated ability to apply mastery knowledge of function or major operational segment as well as business and commercial expertise to differentiate the company from the competition and drive performance.
+ Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Head of AMS PM Accounting position is $250,000 annually and the maximum salary is $280,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
