Description:
Position Purpose:
At **Johnson Memorial Hospital** , the Registered Nurses (RN) in the PACU delivers post-anesthesia care to patients and asses their status to ensure they safely regain consciousness, monitor, and look for signs of difficulty breathing, raising blood pressure, hypothermia, and agitation.
What you will do
In this critical role you will assist in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient.
Required:
+ Graduation from an accredited nursing school
+ Valid RN License in Connecticut
Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
+ Ideal candidates will have one or more years of PACU.CU, Critical Care nursing experience
+ BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
