    Position Summary:

    The Kinesiology Department at the State University of New York at Cortland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in exercise science. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, research, academic advisement, and service.

    Salary Range: $63,770-$66,960

    Major Responsibilities:

    Teaching

     

    + Provide instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in exercise science

    + Advise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students

     

    Scholarship/Research

     

    + Implement an active research agenda that leads to nationally/internationally refereed publications and presentations

    + Pursue external funding for research

    + Direct graduate/undergraduate research projects

     

    Service

     

    + Provide service to the department, university, and professional organizations

    Required Qualifications:

    + Earned doctorate in the Kinesiology field

    + Candidates who are ABD may be considered with expected completion of the doctorate within one year from appointment date

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Specialization in exercise science

    + Credentialed by relevant professional organizations (e.g., NSCA , ACSM , ISSN , etc.)

    + Demonstrated experience and evidence of university-level teaching

    + Experience in delivering undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in exercise science
