Position Purpose: Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! As a Driver Apprentice, you will work with our trainers to get the experience needed to fulfill your CDL-A
Primary Responsibilities: The Driver Apprentice will work in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products in a safe and timely manner. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Delivering safely and accurately in the delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. Loads and unloads truck and/or company vehicles. Places products in areas identified by customers. Completes required documentation promptly. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 6+ months in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years Pass criminal background check Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 1+ years in warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry; **CDL-A completed and wanting experience with our apprentice program for 18 year old and plus drivers.**

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
