    Our client, a leading organization in fire safety and building management, is seeking a FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENGINEER to join their team. As a FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENGINEER, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Facilities Management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENGINEER

    **Location:** Sanford, NC

    Pay Range:

    What's the Job?

     

    + Respond to work orders related to troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on commercial fire suppression and alarm systems.

    + Diagnose, maintain, and repair fire alarm equipment including smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and supervisory devices.

    + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire and life safety codes and standards.

    + Operate and troubleshoot fire suppression systems such as wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems, as well as kitchen hood fire suppression systems.

    + Assist in maintaining fire panels, amplifiers, NAC panels, and backup battery banks, ensuring all systems are operational and compliant.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Minimum of 2-4 years of experience with maintenance and repair of commercial Fire / Life Safety Systems.

    + High School diploma or GED; basic electrical safety or Qualified Electrical Worker training preferred.

    + Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb ladders, stairs, and roofs as required.

    + Strong computer skills for documentation, communication, and troubleshooting purposes.
