Adecco is seeking skilled and reliable Extrusion Operators in Rochester, NY. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently supporting a team of 4–5 employees in the operation of extrusion and lamination manufacturing equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to independently prioritize tasks to keep production running smoothly. Successful operators demonstrate a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a commitment to meeting quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Operate and support extrusion and lamination lines in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

+ Participate in ongoing training to learn and perform various aspects of extrusion line operations.

+ Set up, monitor, and adjust machine settings (temperatures, pressures, speeds) to maintain product quality.

+ Review product specifications and complete all required production paperwork accurately.

+ Work as part of a larger team, communicating effectively to ensure a safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing process.

+ Utilize overhead hoists and other heavy equipment with caution and proper safety practices.

+ Inspect materials for imperfections or defects using strong visual acuity.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMP and food safety standards.

+ Perform basic equipment tasks such as cleaning dies, assisting with tooling changes, and supporting maintenance activities.

+ Use basic tools such as tape measures, utility knives, and screwdrivers.

+ Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to support smooth machine operation.

Minimum Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ 2–3 years of extrusion, lamination, or related manufacturing experience required.

+ Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and production documents.

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

+ Ability to read/use a tape measure and perform basic algebra.

+ Ability to apply common-sense understanding to execute detailed written or verbal instructions.

+ Ability to seek clarification when instructions are unclear and retain information for future application.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with blown film, flexible packaging, or extrusion lamination equipment.

+ Familiarity with GMP, food safety requirements, and quality systems.

+ Mechanical troubleshooting experience in a production environment.

**Pay Details:** $23.06 to $23.99 per hour
