    Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

    Job Description

    We are hiring for a new opportunity as a Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within manufacturing and supply chain operations. You'll lead projects, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to ensure smooth operations and enhance customer satisfaction. In addition, you will be leading the project to integrate the EIO program into the facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving material flow, inventory control, and operational efficiency.

    + Collaborate with a dynamic team to create innovative solutions and make a real impact from day one.

    + Design and coordinate tools and fixtures for manufacturing processes.

    + Manage cost-control projects such as consumable CNC tooling, raw materials usage in product manufacture, and variable costs including labor and overhead costs.

    + Analyze data to identify trends and implement data-driven solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and drive measurable results.

    + Implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive waste reductions utilizing Lean principles such as Autonomation, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and more.

    + Support the management of New Product Integration with respect to manufacturability, process control, and equipment capability.

    + Oversee responsibilities and manage/mentor engineering technicians.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5 plus years’ experience in manufacturing environments in areas such as Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, or Process Improvement.

    + Hands-on experience in CNC metals manufacturing preferred.

    + Ability to coach, teach, and lead leaders to develop continuous improvement strategies.

    + Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with CAD, especially Solidworks, is helpful.

    Work Environment

    The facility has recently expanded from 25,000 to 50,000 square feet, providing ample space for innovative work. You will be working with a small team consisting of 2 Design Engineers and 2 Manufacturing Engineers. This environment offers room for growth into leadership roles, supported by an aggressive 5-year expansion plan that will see new processes added to the facility.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macedon, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.88/hr.
