Job Title: Site Safety and Health OfficerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety and Health Officer to support a historical rehabilitation project within Hot Springs National Park. This project involves the rehabilitation of existing bathhouses, including structural improvements and upgrading electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. The project is anticipated to last for 12 months, with a completion target set for next fall or winter.
Responsibilities
+ Manage, communicate, implement, and enforce compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1, and the company's Accident Prevention Plan.
+ Perform tasks specific to contract task orders on-site at all times during the performance of all work.
+ Make binding decisions on behalf of the company.
+ Implement project safety processes as stipulated by the approved Health and Safety Plan, Accident Prevention Plan, and Activity Hazard Analyses.
+ Conduct daily, weekly, and/or monthly safety briefings as required.
+ Conduct daily and monthly site safety audits.
+ Fill out or obtain necessary daily work permits such as confined space, hot work, safe work, or dig permits.
+ Collaborate with the Project Manager to obtain safety certifications for subcontractor employees on various tasks.
+ Document competent persons on site for each scope of work.
+ Amend activity hazard analysis to reflect any field changes on project sites.
+ Implement reporting procedures in the event of an incident or accident.
+ Investigate and evaluate incidents/accidents to determine procedural changes necessary to prevent recurrence.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction.
+ Experience in managing safety programs or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls.
+ OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 years.
+ Formal construction or industry safety and health training covering subjects in USACE EM 385-1-1.
+ Intermediate proficiency in ProCore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must have a GED or high school diploma.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at Hot Springs National Park, with the flexibility of location for the candidate. Per diem is provided at the GSA rate, covering lodging and meals from Monday through Friday, with additional lodging coverage on weekends if travel home is not possible. The work environment involves working closely with project managers and subcontractors in a historical site setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.29/hr.
