Job Title: Test Technician

Job Description

The Test Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and documenting wiring and functional issues according to wiring diagrams and test procedures. The role involves testing prototype models as per engineering instructions, interfacing with production and engineering personnel to address nonconformance issues, and programming PLCs for load step applications. The technician will also set up electronic components, develop test simulations, assist in training new testers, and perform final inspections to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

+ Test, troubleshoot, correct, and document wiring and functional problems as per wiring diagrams and test procedures.

+ Test prototype models based on engineering instructions and knowledge of electronic systems.

+ Collaborate with production and engineering personnel to record and rectify physical and design nonconformance issues.

+ Program and test PLCs for load step applications.

+ Set up electronic components and protective circuits according to test specifications.

+ Develop and build test simulations for engineering.

+ Assist in training new testers in test techniques, equipment set-up, and operation.

+ Perform final inspections on all tested units.

+ Promote a safe work environment.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and follow schematics of complex electrical and mechanical circuits.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, electronics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

+ Experience with calibration, multimeters, and testing equipment.

+ Knowledge of 480 Volt systems, PLCs, circuits, and hand tools.

+ Inspection and electro-mechanical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2 years of Electronics and Electrical experience.

+ Knowledge of electrical principles and power management.

+ Familiarity with LO/TO and OSHA electrical safety.

+ Knowledge of PLC interface, computer programming, and networking skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bedford, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
