Job Title: Maintenance Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Controls Technician to join our team. This role requires a professional who can lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhance preventive maintenance capabilities, eliminate breakdowns, and provide technical support to meet operational targets such as safety, quality, and efficiency. The position involves a focus on controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems, with occasional support for mechanical work orders and issues.
Responsibilities
+ Repair and replace failed components.
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine unknown problems.
+ Lead and support the development of company culture and engagement.
+ Coach team members on safety standards, tools, and techniques.
+ Identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety risks using a behavior-based safety program and near-miss reporting.
+ Support electrical preventive maintenance on various equipment including PLCs, control networks, and instrumentation calibration.
+ Document preventive maintenance and work orders using SAP.
+ Troubleshoot and repair routine and advanced electrical and mechanical issues.
+ Conduct root cause analysis to address recurring issues.
+ Develop and train Maintenance Technicians to enhance their functional and technical skills.
+ Drive delivery of operational metrics such as production reliability and mean time between failures.
+ Manage multiple priorities and complex tasks effectively.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability in manufacturing.
+ Advanced controls and electrical skills.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 8+ years of experience in automation, preferably with specific systems.
+ Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Technical degree in industrial electrical/controls or a related field.
+ 3-5 years of experience in a Technical Manufacturing Environment.
+ Experience in quality and safety processes.
+ Functional knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) concepts.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 6 am to 2:30 pm or 7 am to 3:30 pm. Our team operates in a dog food manufacturing facility, focusing on packaging equipment like filling machines, conveyors, and palletizers. Advanced computer skills and adherence to safety protocols such as LOTO and confined space requirements are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henderson, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
