Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide proficient technical support for our valued customers. Your role will involve training, repair, preventive maintenance, and startup assistance for new and existing instruments within a single product line. This position requires traveling 50% of the time to customer locations.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot, repair, and test customers' instruments, ensuring deadlines are met.

+ Manufacture permeation equipment for testing packaged food products.

+ Provide customer service via phone and email, addressing technical issues.

+ Perform in-house troubleshooting, repair, and testing of instruments.

+ Assist with in-house and on-site troubleshooting of customer instruments.

+ Complete and submit accurate 'Instrument Repair Log' documents for each instrument.

+ Maintain and update knowledge on new or improved maintenance methods and techniques.

+ Communicate with customers to confirm scheduling and requirements for on-site services.

+ Keep management informed of customer issues and technical problems.

+ Work effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience as a technician with an electronics experience.

+ Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters.

+ Strong electronic and mechanical aptitude.

+ Excellent communication and computer skills.

+ Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2 years of college or technical institute courses preferred.

+ Testing experience on Gas Detector/Sensor equipment is highly preferred.

+ 2-year technical degree is preferred but not required.
