Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic- 1st shift 25-40/hour

Job Description

Join a leading industrial food manufacturing company as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing key equipment. The role requires strong industrial maintenance experience to ensure optimal operation of machinery such as conveyors, photo eyes, proximity switches, silos, accumulators, HMI, and Fanuc Robotics.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair food manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, photo eyes, and switches.

+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on silos, roasters, conveyors, accumulators, and some robotics (Fanuc).

+ Perform preventive maintenance according to the schedule.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

+ Engage in some facilities work as required.

Essential Skills

+ Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.

+ Experience in preventive maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

+ Proficiency in industrial maintenance, including hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in food manufacturing is preferred but not required.

+ Ability to work night shifts (12 hours, 5pm-5am, Monday through Thursday) and willingness to work overtime.

+ An associate degree is desired, but not required.

+ Candidates with only education will be considered.

+ Must provide own basic set of tools, including a voltmeter (toolbox provided).

Work Environment

Work in a temperature-controlled, food manufacturing and packaging environment. The facility adheres to GMP standards, requiring hair nets, beard nets, no exposed jewelry or piercings, and is a tobacco-free environment. Smocks are provided. Each shift includes six mechanics, one controls technician, and a supervisor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.90 - $35.20/hr.
