Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for preparing products for shipment by skid, crate, or box and processing routine shipping paperwork. You will maintain a clean and safe working environment through the proper and timely disposition and storage of materials.
Responsibilities
+ Support assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials.
+ Safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures.
+ Work with SAP to update storage bin information and identify and locate materials.
+ Complete routine inspections of material handling equipment.
+ Operate a turret truck forklift, ensuring you are comfortable with heights, as you will be lifted to pick orders.
+ Operate a sit-down forklift to move picked orders from racks to shipping.
+ Unload and load trucks daily using forklifts.
+ Transport scrap bins to the unloading area and transfer materials into the dumpster.
+ Visually inspect parts and move them to the receiving parts staging area.
+ Operate forklift trucks and/or cranes to move materials into and out of assembly.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with material handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
+ Proficiency in inventory control and order picking.
+ Comfortable operating forklifts, including stand-up and turret truck forklifts.
+ Experience with shipping systems such as UPS Worldship.
+ Knowledge of inventory management and use of RF scanners and bills of lading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
+ Familiarity with paper sheets for bill of ladings and inventory.
+ Comfortable working in environments with smells like paint and oil.

You will work in a state-of-the-art facility that embraces the 5S methodology (sort, set-in-order, shine, standardize, sustain). The environment is well-lit, climate-controlled, and organized by departments. Safety is paramount, with mandatory safety glasses and steel toe shoes. All contractors are provided with a company shirt, and the dress code allows for comfortable pants that might get dirty in the course of work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
