Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

The Avionics Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and modification of General Aviation, Corporate, and Firefighting aircraft. You will work on a variety of aircraft including Challengers, Pilatus PC-12, KingAirs, as well as modified DC-7s and MD80s used for firefighting. The role involves updating analog systems to new Garmin systems for corporate, general aviation, and fleet tanker aircraft.

Responsibilities

+ Review drawings and blueprints of install projects.

+ Evaluate and remove components and equipment as needed.

+ Organize tools and equipment for projects.

+ Uninstall existing avionics components and install new components such as GPS, Comms, Nav, antennas, and Garmin 650 systems.

+ Troubleshoot and test systems to ensure functionality.

+ Use knowledge of avionics software to run and test applications.

+ Utilize interface programs to upload flight data.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of avionics repair and installation experience.

+ Proficiency in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Ability to read and understand manuals for avionics installations.

+ Experience using computers for data uploads and running avionics applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred: FCC license.

+ Preferred: A&P license.

Work Environment

Work in a maintenance hangar located in Hillsboro, OR, which also serves as the company's headquarters. The enclosed hangars provide a close proximity work environment with corporate and business jet aircraft.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $117000.00/yr.
