    Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader

    Job Description

    The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, focusing on internal material flow, accurate inventory management, and efficient shipping and receiving processes. This role provides direction to warehouse staff, balancing workloads and ensuring compliance with safety standards, particularly in hazardous waste management. The position serves as a liaison between warehouse associates and management and is responsible for training Material Handlers.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee daily shipping, receiving, and production staging activities, prioritizing tasks for Material Handler I and II.

    + Lead and direct all warehouse activities related to 5S standards.

    + Receive raw materials and ship finished products in accordance with ISO work instructions, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.

    + Manage internal material flow, including staging for production, replenishment, storage of finished goods, and removal of used materials.

    + Document and oversee the shipment of hazardous materials off-site, ensuring compliance with closing instructions and labeling requirements.

    + Communicate maintenance, repair, safety, and quality concerns to the Supply Chain Manager.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in warehouse shipping and continuous improvement processes.

    + Experience in material control and raw material management.

    + Forklift operation skills.

    + Competency in computer data entry and leadership development.

    + Experience with hazardous materials (hazmat) handling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in motivating, leading, and coordinating teams with strong decision-making abilities.

    + Training in 5S and good housekeeping practices.

    + Experience in operating motorized equipment.

    + Adherence to health and safety rules, recognizing safety as a key obligation.

    + Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The company operates in a clean paint manufacturing facility with a slight paint smell, which is well-ventilated to ensure comfort. Candidates will receive a tour during the interview process to assess their comfort level with the environment. The company is a growing entity in the U.S. market, backed by a successful Swedish parent company.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $28.50/hr.
