Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment including motors, pumps, gears, pneumatics, and electrical systems ranging from 220V to 480V. Experience in a plating or chemical environment is preferred, and the role requires adherence to a preventive maintenance schedule. The successful candidate will have the capability to troubleshoot electrical wiring and PLC or automation systems.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.

+ Maintain and service motors, pumps, gears, pneumatics, and filters.

+ Follow and execute the preventive maintenance schedule.

+ Diagnose issues with electrical wiring and PLC or automation systems.

+ Work effectively in a chemical plating and coating environment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.

+ Experience with electrical systems from 220V to 480V.

+ Strong mechanical background with knowledge of pumps, motors, and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a plating or chrome facility is a plus.

Work Environment

Our chemical plating and coating company features a work environment with tanks, barrels, a waste water treatment area, racking, tool rooms, and fabrication spaces. The role is primarily on the 1st shift from 6am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
