Field Service Technician

$35-$45/hr

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services, including inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct on-site equipment inspections and maintenance at customer locations.

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field and perform necessary repairs.

+ Collaborate with the Service Manager to schedule and prioritize field service calls.

+ Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.

+ Build knowledge of dealer-supported product lines, service standards, and procedures, and stay abreast of changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced.

+ Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment while working in the field.

+ Maintain a remote parts inventory.

+ Willingness for overnight travel as needed, including some multi-day events.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years of experience working full-time in a technician/mechanic role on heavy-duty chassis.

+ Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

+ Class B CDL (desirable)

Work Environment

The work environment involves being in the field as long as there are service calls. In the absence of field calls, work will be conducted in the shop.

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
