    Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance Technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with various individuals or groups, complete work orders accurately, and ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed according to established procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Communicate effectively with individuals or groups verbally and in writing.

    + Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

    + Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment.

    + Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.

    + Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities such as bathrooms, plumbing, painting, and drywall.

    + Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.

    + Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment where the repair is visible or obvious.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in mechanical, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, drywall, painting, plumbing, preventive maintenance, electrical, and repair.

    + Minimum of 1 year's experience in repairing/maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting, or 2 years of related vocational training.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working weekend/night shifts from Saturday to Monday, 5:30pm to 5am, totaling 36 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break. The work environment involves exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, or drafty conditions, and high noise levels that may require hearing protection. The role may involve working at heights, indoors or outdoors for extended periods of time.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Minooka, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.45 - $30.45/hr.
