Job Title: Cherry Picker Operator

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Cherry Picker Operators to join our dynamic team within a large distribution center. We have openings on both day and overnight shifts, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse processes.

3RD. SHIFT: from 9:30pm to 6am. Overtime is available with supervisor approval.

Responsibilities

+ Operate material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.

+ Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.

+ Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.

+ Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products.

+ Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, notifying management of inventory issues.

+ Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.

+ Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.

+ Perform inventory control functions as needed.

+ Refer complex, unusual problems to a supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum one year of cherry picker experience for day shift candidates.

+ Minimum one year of reach truck or order picker experience for overnight candidates.

+ Proficiency in RF scanning, order picking, and packing.

+ Experience operating various forklifts including cherry pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.

+ Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.

+ Capability to make repetitive movements, such as bending or squatting.

+ 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Work Environment

You will work in a large distribution center spanning 500,000 sq ft, supplying appliances to both direct and commercial customers. The environment is typically comfortable but may expose you to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. There are six openings for the overnight shift from 9:30pm to 6am. Overtime is available with supervisor approval.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
