Job Title: Bindery Operator

About the Role

Join our **Core Publishing Solutions** team as a **Bindery Operator** , where you’ll play a key role in setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure high-quality production. This position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude and experience in printing or bindery operations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements.

+ Monitor equipment and product quality; request maintenance support as needed.

+ Perform simple to moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment.

+ Communicate effectively during shifts and at shift hand-offs.

+ Evaluate mechanical condition of equipment and complete preventative maintenance.

+ Use computer-based workflow applications to manage files.

+ Accurately document activities in systems (e.g., material usage, equipment issues).

+ Perform tasks such as feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, and inventory cycle counts.

+ Actively participate in safety programs and promote a safe work culture.

+ Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards using standard work procedures.

+ Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas.

+ Participate in project teams as needed.

+ Provide backup for other operators during absences or breaks.

+ Recommend and implement process improvements.

+ Regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel.

+ Wear required PPE, including steel toe shoes and ear protection.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with press machines, bindery equipment, machine operation, printing machines, and inserter machines.

+ Proficient in troubleshooting and printing press operations.

Preferred Experience

+ Previous roles at printing companies such as **Loften Label, AWT, First Impressions, Genpak, Computype, Smyth, Vomela, Carlson Printing, Proampac, Graphic Packaging International, IWCO** .

Work Environment & Shifts

+ Large industrial printing and bindery shop with a close-knit production crew.

+ Safety gear provided (gloves, safety glasses); company pays for steel toe boots.

+ **Shift Schedule:** 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

+ 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

+ 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (Sunday–Thursday)

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Eagan, MN.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
